The Best of NileGuide
- While flamenco is clearly the dominating musical force, there is a plethora of other genres to entertain you on Seville's exciting music scene. Teatro de la Maestranza is an opera house that was conceived to be one of the main cultural venues of the Seville Expo '92. Its focus is on works inspired by Seville itself, including Verdi's La Forza del Destino and Mozart's Marriage of Figaro. With its angular lines, swish lighting and minimalist style, Bestiario could easily be in New York or London rather than Seville. The equally glam bar staff mix potent cocktails too. Teatro Lope de Vega is a small baroque-style theater. Located between the University of Seville and Maria Luisa Park, the theater was constructed during the 1929 Ibero-American Expo. Whether you're looking for a big rock-and-roll concert or a laid-back atmosphere to listen to live jazz - or, of course, flamenco - Seville has a musical venue suited to your taste.
