Description:
This 18th-century mansion next to the cathedral in the Arenal district is a bargain hunter's delight. Within are a beautifully ornate staircase and a patio full of tropical plants. The social areas are chic and comfortable, and the lounge displays bric-a-brac belonging to the original mansion. Reservations are recommended as far in advance as possible because the word is out that this is a stylish establishment charging low prices. The rooms are medium to large, each individually decorated in keeping with the history of this place, even with antiques.
