Dehesa (La)

Description:

  • One of Seville's leading restaurants, La Dehesa is known for its regional decor and for serving some of the finest cuisine in town. It is decorated like an elegant bodega (wine tavern) with stucco walls and windows with potted plants. Each corner is a shrine to a particular bullfighter, all of whom have donated memorabilia. Some of the city's best chefs show off their prowess with market-fresh, perfectly prepared fish and seafood. Meats, such as the tender, garlic-flavored lamb cutlets, are a particularly good choice: Herbs and spices are used judiciously to bring out natural flavor. Our preferred appetizer is the flavorful ensalada de La Dehesa (shrimp, avocado, and green leaf salad). Desserts are homemade and sumptuous, including freshly baked tarts or a delightful platter of crepes stuffed with nuts and banana ice cream.
