• With its 160000 hectares, this park is Spain's largest protected area, and it includes 10 tiny typically-Andalusian villages, with white houses dotted along the hillside. The meadows and the large areas of land covered in oak and cork trees are the main features of the flora you can find in this natural park. As far as the fauna is concerned, the most notable are the lynx and the black vulture, both in danger of extinction. Another attraction is the gastronomical delights served in the local villages, especially the pork dishes and the substantial stews. You can get here by car or on one of the local trains that leaves from the Santa Justa station in Seville. Inside the park, the 18-kilometre train ride between the Cazalla-Constantina and the Cerro del Hierro, crossing the Sierra Norte old mining area, is a very pretty journey. Admission: free.
