- This is actually as the name would suggest, a prestigious Shanghai theater school, focused on academics. However, the school sometimes puts on student and professional performances to generate revenue. The performances can range from dramas to song and dance to concerts. During the recent Shanghai International Art Festival, there were good reviews of the classic Chinese dance epic "Su Wu" which was performed here by the Shanghai Song and Dance Ensemble.
