Starting along the Bund, the Sky Lounge looks out from Pudong down at the Huangpu river, the Bund boardwalk and the entire city. Fine martinis are on offer as well as other drinks, and the staff are friendly while the views alone are worth the trip to this upscale lounge.
Down at ground level, try some of the Bund favorites. Glamor Bar, D&G Martini Bar, Bar Rouge and Laris all offer stunning view of the river and of Pudong across the way. You'll find expensive drinks done right, high-class entertainment and servers who speak multiple languages and are ready to serve.
The French Concession also houses some of the city's upscale bars. Sasha's is a colonial-style home with upscale dining on the second floor and outdoor seating in a lush garden all summer long. Cotton Club offers similar outdoor seating, fine drinks and swanky decor.
Finally, People 7 and Mesa & Manifesto offer delightful upscale changes to the normal chic decor and stuffy music. Here you'll find a more open atmosphere that remains 5-star.
