Shanghai does not have any dedicated Portuguese restaurants in the city. This is unfortunate because Portuguese food is so delicious. It does, however, heave a wealth of fusion European restaurants that specialize in representing the continent of Europe on every menu. At these establishments you'll find food form the far Northern reaches to the East, West and down to Portugal in the South.
C'est La Vie is a great little restaurant that claims to have a bit of a focus on Portuguese food! Here you'll find the classic European fare that is expected and, at some point, contrived, but you'll also find a unique selection of Portuguese cuisine as well as other Southern European foods that are well worth a try.
For general European fare, head to Laris, M on the Bun, Le Bouchon or any of the cafes that replicate the Paris style street-side deli and cafe/bar, such as the Grand Cafe and Bon Ami Cafe, here you'll find a taste of Europe, and perhaps even a few Portuguese characteristics.
For upscale European fusion food, head to Sassoon, Lanhaus, Chun or T8 Restaurant, all of which have specialized in fine European fusion cooking, including tastes from across the continent and in some cases even with a few Chinese elements thrown in to shock and surprise your delicate palate.
