  • There is much to see and do around the Pearl Tower in Pudong/Lujiazui. You'll find you can spend a good half a day at the tower and milling around the base taking pictures of the beautiful, clean and modern view that is Pudong. The view of the Huangpu River is fantastic, and on clear days it feels like you could be in Europe somewhere. But once the tourism aspects start to wane and your tummy starts to growl, you'll want to head to one of these great nearby restaurants.

Fook Lam Moon offers great Thai food, and although you are in China the proximity to Thailand means the food is actually quite good from Shanghai, and you'll have an authentic experience that is sure to to wow and impress.

Nearby, the amazing Jin Mao Tower houses On Fifty Six, a great eatery on the 56th floor that offers high-end dining with amazing views of the city. You'll also find the Piano Bar in the tower, and Cloud 9, the best view in town that also serves drinks and snacks. Jin Mao Tower is a place not to be missed, so combining it with your lunch session is a great way to save time and see and do more.

The Silva Lounge, Jade on 36 and B.A.T.S are great restaurants nearby the Pearl Tower where you'll be treated like royalty while in the heart of Shanghai's business district.

For a more relaxed and down-to-earth dining option, head to the Dublin Exchange, where you'll find cheap but hearty meals with a very subtle Irish undertone. The Paulaner Brauhaus offers great soups, salads and hearty German meals right on the Huangpu River.
