  • Many consider Renmin Square the center of Shanghai, and for good reason. The square is surrounded by many of the city's hottest hotels, restaurants, shopping venues and public establishments. Most importantly, the Shanghai Museum located near Renmin Park, which is a staple of Shanghai Architecture and home to many important Chinese artifacts.

    From Renmin Square, the city sprawls out seemingly without end. Yet if your hotel is near the square you'll always be right in the action. Nanjing Road is nearby, a street that houses the city's top brand name and designer shops as well as KTV halls and delicious restaurants and bars. You can stroll up and down this pedestrian walkway daily and always find something new to enjoy.

    Shanghai Grand Theater is also near Renmin Park, and is where Shanghai puts on impressive performances in music, opera and dance. Located where the action is, this theater draws massive crowds and lures in the most talents performers.

    This area is a shopper's dream. With several impressive malls and countless small shops, even the most avid shopper will be overwhelmed. The No.1 and New World Department Stores offer goods at decent prices while the MLZ Department Store has imported goods as well as local manufacture. For peal and jewelery enthusiasts, Ling Ling's is located nearby.
