  • Staying active in Shanghai is easy, especially when being active can also be so much fun!

There are two climbing clubs in Shanghai, Ozark and Masterhand. You'll find a fun group of active people ready to help you scale the wall and then move on to bigger climbs. To stay fit and healthy, these climbers don't mess around, they jump right to the summit!

The Hash House Harriers are drinkers with a running problem, and meet weekly to jog, drink and socialize. While this might not help you stay fit, it is a lot of fun and extremely active! Before the event, try out the Disc Go-Karting Club, where you can speed around a circle while drinking-- what could be safer?

For a more sober and safer activity, try meeting your local neighbors during morning Tai Chi on the Bund or in any of the major parks around the city. You'll enjoy the Bund early in the morning, and can jog to Yu Gardens early in the morning and see the sight before it becomes overcrowded.

JinJiang Amusement Park offers much to be happy about. A few rides, fun activities and open space for kites, Frisbee and general child's play.
