- Tagging itself one of Shanghai's 'premier' art galleries might seem an exaggeration. But one look at the stature and the number of artists whose works it has hosted over the years, and continues to host, will reveal that it is, in fact, the underlying truth. Spread over an area of 1,800 square metres, this 'warehouse' is an art hub located in the prime art district of Shanghai. It showcases works by avant-garde local artists and holds regular exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and installations. A daughter gallery of the Art Scene China, the Art Scene Warehouse also holds competitions like the Chinese Art Prize which gives a platform to young and up-and-coming Chinese artists.
