    • If you're looking for something different from the regular New Year's celebrations, make your way to the Drum Tower in Longhua Park. The city comes out to watch one hundred and eight Buddhists (especially selected for this event), climb the tower to strike the temple bell at midnight on New Year's Eve. Each stroke of the bell symbolizes "earthly" happiness to the Chinese. The temple also provides food for its guests in the form of 'over-year-noodles', a dish that represents wealth and success for the coming year. So eat heartily!
