Longhua Temple Bell Ringing

Description:

  • During New Year's eve, the locals here have a peculiar way of celebrating. Come by to witness the way in which people beckon good fortune. The ceremony consists of striking a bell for a whole 108 times, during a Buddhist service. When the clock strikes twelve the celebrations begin. There are fire crackers, dragon and lion dances and much more!
