Description:
- St. Patrick's Day is celebrated to honor the saint who brought Christianity to Ireland. This festival is celebrated around the same time as Kuan Yin's Feast Day. Kuan Yin, also known as the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, was born on this day. People participate in festivities and feast on traditional Irish cuisine and enjoy pints of beer. The color green dominates the atmosphere and anything that is part of the festivity. The commercial popularity of it has reached China, although not on a large scale. Expatriates and locals too participate in celebrations in various pubs and cafes.
