• Great Wall today was built in the Ming Dynasty, starting around 1368 and ended around 1640. In a passage in the Koran, the Arab geographer Alexander also contact with the building walls. The wall was built with great stature with good material (hard stone used in the surface and on top of) more than before. The purpose of the wall is the first step to prevent the same semi-nomadic people on the outside (like the Mongols under the command of King Altan Khan and Oirats under the command of Esen Taiji) in the looting in China when they used horses to move, or prevent the return of the things they were looting.
