Description:
Built in 1912, the WYO is a model for other old theaters in the West. It was a broken-down movie palace facing the wrecking ball in the early 1980s when locals stepped in and saved it, restoring the proscenium and reviving live entertainment in Sheridan. Classical music, local choral groups, touring dance companies, and popular performers like Leon Russell and Kathy Mattea fill the house.
