St. Apostels' Peter's and Paul's Cathedral

  • User Review:

    • The cathedral was started to be built in the end of the XVI century and was completely finished in 30 - 40 years (versions vary from source to source). During its history the cathedral suffered from many wars but was always rebuilt little by little changing its initial appearance both from inside and outside (e.g. the shape of the tower cover was changed from bell-shape to octagon pyramid). Recently it has been renovated once again and became very bright inside. Some like it, so say it was better before, anyway it is worth a visit. Interesting point: you can see the tower of the Cathedral from different distant parts of the town, so you would never confuse Siauliai with any other city.
