Public Question Asked by User116114 about Siena

Where to stay and where to go with limited time?

A friend and I will be in Siena for three days before heading to Lucca. We want to experience the wine country, the food and the people. We are not particularly fond of touring churches and museums. We've been told driving SR222 is a must. Is it? Also, we would like a recommendation of places to stay in Siena - not too expensive but comfortable. What do you recommend?

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Tuscany!
For a review of the SR 222 Chiantigiana I found this informative article that you may find useful when planning your Tuscany tour.

With regards to Siena I was there last November and stayed at the 3* Hotel Palazzo Ravizza and herefollow please find my experience with the area surrounding Siena.
