If you're looking for a romantic bar where you can cozy up to your loved one, then you'll find plenty of choice in Singapore. The tropical climate lends itself to balmy alfresco evenings under the stars - surely the best way to enjoy a romantic evening - and all of our bars on the list reflect this.
It's all about rooftop bars and views at the moment in Singapore, and Lantern tops our list for romance with its intimate bar with comfy seating, including love seats for two, as well as fabulous views across the Marina Bay. Other rooftop bars also ticking the romance boxes include the Club Skybar and Breeze. If the views are more important to you than seclusion, then you can't beat Ku De Ta for staggering views over the city.
Unique to Singapore is the rainforest which encroaches on the city, allowing for intimate encounters amongst the foliage, and many of Singapore's bars take full advantage of this. Our favourite choice for this, the beautifully landscaped One Rochester allows for privacy and solitude as you sip martinis to the sound of the waterfall and chirping cicadas. Oosh at Dempsey and Villa Bali also make the most of their tropical surroundings.
If its water that floats your boat in the romance stakes, then check out our two riverside options - eM by the River at the Gallery Hotel in Robertson Quay comes complete with twinkling fairy lights and live music, and Siem Reap II where you can watch the lantern-lit bumboats chug on by and the glimmering lights of boat quay reflected in the water.
