There is certainly no shortage of luxury hotels in Singapore. If it's sumptuous hotel suites, slick service, relaxing spa treatments, high-end restaurants and first-class facilities you're after, then you'll be at home here. The majority of luxury hotels are clustered around the Marina Bay and Orchard areas, but beach lovers won't be disappointed on Sentosa either.
With its proximity to the Central Business District, and its stunning city views, Marina Bay is a great choice for business or leisure travellers looking for some extra pampering. Number one on our list goes to the Marina Bay Sands, which has been hogging all the headlines in the international press lately thanks to its stunning rooftop swimming pool atop the three staggering hotel towers. The most expensive hotel in the world at the time of building, it promises you an exceedingly luxurious experience for your Singapore stay.
Also in the Marina Bay area, you will find the Fullerton Bay Hotel which also boasts a rooftop pool with marina views (albeit from a slightly lower down perspective), colonial favourite the Fullerton Hotel, and international luxury chain stalwart, the Mandarin Oriental.
Orchard Road, the centre of consumerism in Singapore with its endless stretch of luxury shopping malls and designer boutiques is the other obvious choice for a luxury hotel stay. The St Regis with its personal butler service and fleet of personalised Bentleys leads the pack, but you won't be disappointed with stays at the Four Seasons or the Shangri-La either. Sentosa boasts several new high-end hotels, but Norman Foster-designed Capella would be the top choice for luxury.
