Sentosa - Singapore Hotels

  • Often dubbed Singapore's playground, Sentosa boasts more visitor attractions than anywhere else in the city, so this is the place to stay if you're looking to have fun in the sun. Sentosa has done much in recent years to shrug of its image of being a tacky weekend getaway, and the recent arrival of several high-end hotels makes this a good choice for those looking to enjoy luxury with views out to sea, or close by to the many attractions of Resorts World Sentosa.

    Resorts World Sentosa is the biggest attraction on Sentosa and features the Universal Studios theme park with its movie-themed rollercoasters and rides, a Casino providing 24 hour gambling, a high-end shopping mall and several bars and restaurants. For those wishing to be close to all the fun and games on offer, there are also four hotels within the complex - Crockfords Tower, Festive Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel and Hotel Michael, with a fifth, the Equarius Hotel due to open later in 2011.

    For those looking to enjoy a sea breeze, several further hotels line the white sandy beaches of Sentosa, close by to all the seafront bars and restaurants. The pick of the bunch is the five star Capella resort, renowned for its intimate luxury and Norman Foster-designed modern architecture. Other top picks include the Sentosa Resort & Spa and the recently refurbished Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort.
