• Opened in 1997, this was the first Borders store to be located outside the United States. It started a near revolution in the book retail industry then. Never before had a book shop stocked so many titles nor been so welcoming-its many benches and comfy armchairs are an invitation to customers to sit and browse the entire day. The store stocks more than 200,000 book, music and periodical titles and carries items like calendars, greeting cards and journals. There is also a popular in-house bistro (salads, sandwiches and pasta) and an outdoor cafe. Regular readings and special events are also held.
