- EMF Book Store is a chain of book stores that buys, sells and rents books, it has branches dotted all over the island. This branch in Holland Village is usually crowded. Since the store is not very big, maneuvering around the narrow aisles can be a delicate operation. You can find books of all genres here. Look out especially for the well stocked romance and fantasy/sci—fi sections. The store has a good selection of Chinese novels and comics as well. Magazines, both new and back issues are also sold here. The helpful staff is a big plus.
