• Of the dozens of shopping malls lining Orchard Road, Orchard Central sets itself apart by rising high above the competition - literally. Opened in 2009, Orchard Central is Singapore s first "vertical mall" with 12 levels of stores and the highest escalators you ve ever seen. The levels are roughly organized by what they sell - fashion, technology, jewelry - and have a good mix of international chains and smaller boutiques. There s a great variety of places to eat here including a food court, cafés, and some fine dining options on the rooftop garden with a panoramic view of the city.
