Yes you can do universal studios in a day with good planning. Go in when it opens and get all the showtimes and plan your time. Usually the longer Q will be Rapids Adventure and the Battlestar.

Fri-Sun will have hollywood area opens till 10pm with fireworks. Check their website for more information.

Hi Omoidasu,
Well...it all depends on what's your itinerary & how u plan your program.
There are lots of rides & attractions, so its advisable to go there when it opens.
Opening hrs are Mon to Sun : 10am to 7pm. There's an extension of time BUT afraid to say its only till 20th March, the park closes at 9pm.
Go for the rides with shorter queues first so that u don't waste time on queueing.
Well...hope u enjoy yr day at Universal Studios.

Preferably purchase ur tickets online. Be there right at the start. You can get information on the rides/attactions from the website. So you can comfortably finish itin a day. It is much smaller than your Disneyland.

Not a problem. However you definitely need to start as soon as they open, that way you don't have to rush.
