Hostels: you can try A Beary Good Hostel near Chinatown MRT (ratings available on google), or Betel Box Hostel.

Hotels: Try Link Hotel in Tiong Bahru. Tiong Bahru MRT station is close to the city centre.

Hi,

Before I proceed any further, I would like to Welcome you to Singapore.
I'm sure u'll enjoy your stay here & hope u'll have the time to extend your stay so that you can explore the "Garden City" for All its Tourists Hotspots like Sentosa, where we have the newly opened Universal Studio not forgetting Our IRW with the Casino. The Safari & Zoo, Jurong Birdpark and a whole bunch of Night Entertainment.

Okay....coming to the topic of hotels/hostels :-

There's the Hotel 81 chain of more than 20 hotels located throughout the whole of Singapore. The Hotel 81 - Chinatown located conveniently near one of the MRT stations, where you can also visit the different cultural & food centres. The rate for a Superior room (queen size mattress) is S$119 (Sun - Thurs), Eve of PH & weekends is an additional S$20. Instant Online confirmation is available too.
The more budget type is around Geylang (a Red Light distirct) wher the rate for a Superior room is S$70 with weekend rates applicable too. Its best that you check the whole list of their hotels with the options & choose the one that suits you most.
Pls go to www.hotel81.com.sg

For the hostel type we have a few around Singapore too.
There's one at Geylang, Ideal Backpackers where the rate is S$20 p/nite ( 4 bedder type) & also the private room type at the rate of S$45 p/nite.

So I hope that my info was of Help to you.
