There are very many things to be done and it all comes down to what you'd like to see and do.
People come to Singapore for the tourist attractions, the food and the shopping. Also, depending on when you arrive, there may also be festivals on as well. Singapore is also developing into an arts hub so there are events and places worth going to for that as well.
Head for the Zoo, Night Safari and Bird Park (www.zoo.com.sg, www.nightsafari.com.sg, www.birdpark.com.sg) since you're here for 2 weeks. I'm assuming that the 6 in the party are all family with a wide age range? Can't go too far wrong with these. There are discounts available if you intend to visit at least 2 of these places.
The Singapore Flyer is the world's tallest observation wheel and that alone should be worth a trip. Also visit Sentosa, Singapore's resort island, where attractions and activities such as a luge, the Merlion, the butterfly park, the waxworks, Fort Siloso, Underwater World and a trip down a flying fox ride at Megazip are available (www.sentosa.com.sg).
There are various malls along Orchard Road and Marina Bay to check out for the latest in fashion and other things. Funan Centre and Sim Lim Square stock the latest in IT and electronics. Sales occur near the end of the year and around various festivals such as Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Puasa (dates vary for these).
Singapore is famous for its food and there are many places to try from swanky restaurants to hawker centres for the real taste of Singapore. Meals start from S$3. Hunt around for Chilli or Black Pepper Crabs, noodles galore (won ton noodles to Hokkien noodles to Char Kway Teow to fishball noodles), to pratas, nasi lemak, chicken rice, dim sum, etc. Two weeks will be enough to get you started on a sampler of the food available to us.
History and Arts:
Singapore is a historical place for a young country. The arts scene is also flourishing. Check out the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Art Museum, the Asian Civilizations Museum, the Chinatown Heritage Museum, the Philatelic Museum and even the smaller and lesser known Reflections at Bukit Chandu and the Old Ford Factory. The Esplanade Theatre is a wonderful place to visit. There are various performances (www.eslplanade.com.sg) and many of them are free on the weekends.
Also check out Chinatown as well. It isn't all that authentic, but there are interesting trinkets and is the place to go for souvenirs.
Transportation around Singapore is not a problem as it is a small place. The trains are easy to use and cheap (less than S$2 for any one trip) and taxis are still cheap though watch for the many official surcharges. With a family of 6, you may need 2 cabs or you may have to request for a maxi cab. No place in Singapore is more than an hour away or S$30 by taxi.
Check out www.uniquely-singapore.com for more details and information. The cost of the visit depends on what you choose to do but the websites should give you an idea of admission prices, etc.
If you can narrow it down after checking these sites and let us know what you want, I am sure someone here at Localyte can help with a rough budget. :)

2 weeks is considered as a long visit..considering Singapore is such a small city.
Anyway, here are some pointers:-
Museums--> visit www.nhb.gov.sg to get special passes to visit most of the museums in Singapore. I think they have family packages too.
Night Safari & Singapore Zoological Garden
Jurong Bird Park
Sentosa --> There are many stuffs to do in Sentosa ( you can spend a day or 2 there)
Shopping--> They are practically shopping centres at every corner of this island.
Some of the recommended ones are:-
Mustafa Centre= It's 24 Hours and has everything..and it's huge!
Orchard Rd= It's the ultimate shopping district
Sim Lim Square= For electronics
Food--> I think you will have no problems finding them
Transport--> The MRT is the best option as taxis can only take maximum of 4 passengers. MRT is way affordable, comfortable and fast. : )

Depending on when you are visitig, two weeks in Singapore basically gives you lots of time to explore our little city Republic and visit offshore islands like Pulau Ubin, Johor Bahru in Malaysia and even take trips to Batam & Bintan
If you are looking at a luxurious tour, that is 5 star accomodations with dinning in Restaurants, a budget of about $8000-$18,000 is possible or even higher.
If you are looking at most traveller's budgets, for a family of 6 for two weeks will take about $3000-$4500 inclusive of accomodations, visits to attractions, meals etc etc..
Place you are visit for coupons are Singapore Tourism website at www.visitsingapore.com
