I will be inSingapore from 28dec-2ndJan2010 with my husband and 4 yr old son. I want to spend 3nites close to Sentosa island and 2 nites in orchard Road. What hotels on the mainland are most convenient to travel to Sentosa island?

You can stay in most parts of Singapore and still wouldn't face a problem going over to Sentosa. Singapore is a relatively small country. However, if you wish to stay closer to town and the MRT system that will take you to Harbour Front in about 20mins, you can look at staying in IBIS hotel. Quite affordable and quite new.

To get around in Singapore is very easy and nearby. You can stay in a hotel on Sentosa island, rasa sentosa hotel for instance, i am sure they will be having promotions at moment

Thank you everyone. Jo I would love to stay in Sentosa island itself, but all the hotels are way above my budget! And they dont have promotions for years end. So I guess i will stay in harbour Ville Hotel then. Btw can anyone find me the direct number to Park Hotel Orchard Road? i cannot find it online... it's mostly the number to the agents.

Well, you might not stay in the hotel, you can rent a Chalet in Sentosa, which is a package( about 300 bucks) of 3 days 2nights, or 2 days 1 night, with free entry to Sentosa Gateway. Well, you and our family can go Siloso Beach for Family games; Sand castle. Resturant and food Court will be found in Sentosa. Nex,you can go to Hotel 81( With resonable price..) for the next two days, it's near Orchar ad bugis. Walk 5 mins to Bugis, and Dobby, 10 mins to orchard and Suntec City(MICE).
