- Snowmass Mountain defines "epic" – twenty lifts, 83 trails and a Colorado-record 4,406 ft. vertical rise. Snowmass arguably has the best cruiser runs in the state, with long and winding trails lined with bumps, groomed portions and beautiful runs through alpine glades. A good deal of the terrain is geared towards beginners and intermediates, making it a great place for families or tourists who only get out a couple times a year. Experts will appreciate the steeps in the Cirque Bowl and Hanging Valley, while freestyle riders can rip it up in two different terrain parks.
