Getting There -- Solomons is at the southern tip of Calvert County. Maryland routes 2 and 4 merge and run north-south across the county. To reach Solomons from Washington, D.C., and points south, take I-95 to the exit for Route 4 south; follow Route 4 all the way to Solomons. From Annapolis and points north, take the exit for Route 4 south off U.S. Route 50; follow Route 2-4 to Solomons.
Getting Around -- Solomons is certainly a walkable little town, but if you'd prefer to ride, in the summer look for the Solomons Trolley, which stops at several local restaurants, as well as the visitors center, the Calvert Marine Museum, the Holiday Inn, and the Comfort Inn. Fare is $1 one-way.
