• This picturesque restaurant -- complete with master mandolin player -- has served excellent food, mainly local specialties, for over 200 years. We love everything, but especially adore the menu's ample offerings of both surf and turf. Their antipasti buffet is laden with a large array of seafood and vegetable dishes that we find it difficult to move beyond, but you should definitely allow yourself to be tempted by the house specialty: spaghetti alla ferrolese (a complicated seasoning of fish roe, shrimp, red cabbage, and cream) if it is on offer. Otherwise, the homemade lasagna and ravioli are both delicious. We are also partial to the savory and moist daily catch cooked in a salt crust and the creative desserts based on local traditions.
