Description:
- This 7 mile trail is located near the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Picturesque scenery can be seen along this unmarked road winding through Blackwood Canyon. Follow the road to an obvious junction and stay to the right. This path will lead you to a beautiful meadow where snowmobiles are not allowed. For a longer, more strenuous outing, continue upward to Barker Pass. Snowmobiles are allowed on this part of the trail. A Sno-Park permit is required. From Tahoe City take Highway 89 three miles south to Blackwood Canyon Road, across from Kaspian Picnic Area. Continue to the Blackwood Canyon Sno-Park.
