- This is part of the Lake Tahoe Complex. Campground is adjacent to the highway and on Lake Tahoe beach. There is a busy day-use area next to the campground. Firewood is sold on site. Staff reside on site. Swimming, water skiing, fishing, hiking and bike trails are nearby. There are natural history programs at USFS Lake Tahoe Visitor Center. No all-terrain or off-highway vehicles in the campground. Bear rules enforced. Complete rules are available at the office or on bulletin boards in the campground. Reservations must be made 3 days in advance. This campground requires you to reserve 2 nights on weekends, and 3 nights on holiday weekend for single sites. Fee includes primary vehicle and any legally towed vehicle. Other vehicles will be charged an extra vehicle fee at the campground. Maximum 2 pets per site, no pets on beaches. Pet rules strictly enforced. No refunds for bad weather. No hunting or chain saws. CAUTION: bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers.
