I'm in Bend, OR and think Mt. Bachelor excellent. South Tahoe is seven hour drive away. Heavenly is often called the best ski in South Tahoe. Let me know if Mt. Bachelor and Bend are in your itinerary

There are deals to be had around the world! I have deals in Vail, Jackson Hole, Crested Butte, and Steamboat Springs. There are also Last Minute Deals to be had around the world. Prices depend on travel dates, locations, and times.

Sorry I'm not a skier to answer this. But I know there are a lot of good deals out there because the economy really stinks.
