Description:

  • Northeast of downtown Spokane in the historic Cliff House atop a 450-foot-high bluff overlooking the Spokane River, this winery boasts one of the most spectacular settings of any winery in the state and is worth visiting for this reason alone. Prices are often quite reasonable, with a decent 2004 merlot as well as a good 2005 sangiovese selling for $18. This winery also has a downtown tasting room in River Park Square, at 808 W. Main St. (tel. 509/747-3903).
