La Voile d'Or

Description:

• Established in 1966, the "Golden Sail" is a tour de force. It offers intimate luxury in a converted 19th-century villa at the edge of the little fishing port and yacht harbor, with a panoramic coast view. It's equal to the Grand Hôtel in every feature except cuisine, which is just a notch lower. The guest rooms, lounges, and restaurant open onto terraces. Accommodations are individually decorated, with hand-painted reproductions, carved gilt headboards, baroque paneled doors, parquet floors, antique clocks, and paintings. The luxurious bathrooms have tub/shower combinations. Guests gather on the canopied outer terrace for lunch, and in a stately room with Spanish armchairs and white wrought-iron chandeliers for dinner.
