Top 10:

Fun Things to Do in St. John

  • The Best of NileGuide
  • Asking "what kinds of fun things are there to do on St. John?" is a bit pointless -- after all, there is very little to do on St. John that is NOT fun. From shopping, to kayaking, to birdwatching, to horseback riding, pretty much every activity available on the island is intended for maximum fun.

Since St. John is all about the ocean, exploring the coasts and coral reefs by kayak is one of the most fun ways to do it. Arawak Expeditions offers guided and unguided tours from half a day to five days long which let you learn about the tiny islands and colorful reefs off St. John's beautiful north shore.

Fishing, sailing and SNUBA are three other fun ways to get out on (or under) the clear azure seas. Captain Griz Gizwald at Gone Ketchin' takes visitors on excursions to catch marlin, wahoo, tuna, mahi mahi, barracuda, and kingfish off the north shore. All gear, bait, soda and beer are included! What more could you need? Sailing charters are offered by companies such as Sail Safaris, and SNUBA (a cross between SCUBA and snorkeling) is available at V.I. SNUBA Excursions in Cruz Bay.

Fun things to do on land include horseback riding at the Carolina Corral, mini-golf at Pastory Gardens, and birdwatching with Natural Adventures. When you're tired of all the fun, head to Mongoose Junction for some aimless shopping, food and beer at the many stylish shops and restaurants in this multi-floor mall.
