• Fisherman's Wharf is located on the edge of the Caribbean Sea and the views are outstanding from this lovely dining spot. From this vantage point, you can see the coastline of Basseterre all the way out to the southeast peninsula as well as St. Kitts sister island, Nevis. You will find a comfortable setting of alfresco dining on the patios or inside in a dining room. It's a favourite with tourists and locals alike and a great place to take the entire family for dinner. It's so popular that the place is often crowded; if you're planning a quiet, romantic evening, this may not be optimal. The offerings are mostly seafood: Fresh local fish such as mahimahi, grouper, snapper and swordfish are lightly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Grilled lobster and jumbo shrimp are served with drawn butter. Also available are barbecued chicken, ribs and several cuts of steak. After placing your order, tuck into a basket of warm, home-cooked bread and a crisp, garden salad. When your assigned number is called, go up to the grill and get your main course, then make your choice from the many vegetables, potatoes and rice dishes available. The food is basic, but done in a delectable fashion.
