Does anybody have any idea where I can find a nice farm not far from St Louis where I can make a weekend getaway?

You would probably do best by looking south of St Louis. Rural Jefferson county is close, but is getting harder to find acreage. St Francois county or Ste. Genevieve county are a bit farther but you might well find something in these two counties. Farther out Iron County, Dent County and Washington county should give you good value for the money, but are more off the beaten path. Hope this helps.
