- Face control is a serious issue on Friday and Saturday night at Decadance and you'll be very lucky to get in without a membership card. Consequently, the best approach would be to try and get hold of one during quieter periods when it operates as a bar/restaurant. If you do succeed in stepping beyond the threshold, you'll be confronted with the most self-consciously 'chic' crowd in St. Petersburg. Pretty faces, delicately coiffured fringes and sartorial attention-seeking are all in prominence here. Making eye-contact with a stranger won't be the easiest task in the world, as most seem to prefer being looked at than giving anyone unfamiliar the time of day. But in St. Petersburg, there will always be exceptions to this tendency and the 70s' funk/disco that is often pumped out drives most punters impulsively onto the dancefloor.
