• The first thing you'll see as you're unzipping your coat is a rather startled-looking mannequin of the eponymous hero. It'll probably give you a start but soon you'll find yourselves easily seduced by the lazy jazz/blues being performed on stage. At Jimi Hendrix the musicians entertain at all times of the day. At 3pm you and perhaps two other customers can lean back and listen to 'Summertime', played by whatever band happens to be on stage at the time. Afterwards, hearty applause will resound from the staff: at around 8pm you'll be hard pushed to find a table and finding a comfortable spot may well be like searching for a space to pass behind an Italian football defender. The club pulls in some of the city's best amateur bands, so despite the heaving evening crowds (and an overly suspicious security presence) you should have a very good time.
