- City Day is truly 'the' holiday for all St. Petersburg inhabitants. Shows, concerts, parties and fireworks are featured in different venues throughout the city. The main celebration area is traditionally Palace Square but you can also visit the Grand Philharmonic Hall, the Manezh Exhibition Hall, Peter and Paul Fortress, Theater Square, the Academy of Fine Arts Garden, Art Square, and the Baltiisky Dom Theater.
