Liteinyi Most (Liteinyi Bridge)

Description:

  • Liteinyi Bridge is a six-bay drawbridge 394.3 meters long and 34 meters wide crossing the Neva at the point where Liteinyi Prospekt and Ulitsa Lebedeva cross. It is the second oldest of all the permanent bridges across the Neva, built by A. Struve between 1875 and 1879. It was originally a pontoon bridge. In 1966 and 1967, a steel arched bridge was built and the bridge was widened by 10 meters. Attractively fashioned railings based on drawings by architect K.K. Rakhau were installed.
