Description:
- The basic ring of this large stadium was heaved together with a vast amount of mud dragged from the Gulf of Finland. The stadium has seating for 80,000 spectators, making it St. Petersburg's major sporting venue and second only to Moscow's vast Lenin stadium in Russia. It is a fittingly grand construction with more than 17 stairways and ramps leading to the inside sloped seating and to the colonnaded top of the amphitheater. The stadium is home to the Dynamo football team. Call for games times.
