No you will be OK with Helvetia, they are all in the centre anyway.

I agree with the previous answers, but would add:
Helvetia is the smallest property and does not belong to any big international hotel chain. It is very nice building and good service.
However if you plan to gain miles for some airline program (if you participate in Miles and More for example) it is better to check first which hotel will grant those.
Corinthia has more restaurants and bars, than the other two hotels. It is 5 star hotel, while Novotel and Helvetia are 4stars. So you can expect better service, but also higher price for drinks, etc.

Corintia is the most expensive from these three hotels:that is the different.Novotel is the most new-opened hotel from them.

Corinthia is the most expensive option.
It is located a bit closer to the main atractions - the Winter palace, Peter and Paul fortress etc.
If you can afford Corinthia you can stay with them.
Otherwise your other options are OK.

Hi!
In case I will try to stay in St.Petersburg, I choose Novotel :))))
Helvetia is Ok.
Corinthia is 5 star hotel, but service is sometimes much worse as 3 star :))))
