• This rather standard inn near the airport is known for its affordable rates and its beautiful location near one of the island's best sandy beaches, on Lindbergh Bay. Many guests are 1-nighters staying over between yacht charters. A beach-party atmosphere prevails here, and there's a Tahitian aura to the place, created by tropical foliage, bird cages, bridges, and thatched umbrellas. The well-maintained rooms are medium in size, with louvered doors and jalousies, excellent lighting, and ceiling fans, plus a patio or porch. Accommodations face either the garden or the beach; those opening onto the water are grabbed up first, so if you're interested, call well ahead.
