• The quintessential casual beach bar and grill, Big Bambooz is a relatively recent addition to the laid-back but lively food scene in Red Hook (on St. Thomas's eastern tip). The tiki bar serves up beer and rum drinks, while the chef cooks up some of the best burgers in town: they are big, juicy, perfectly cooked, and made from fresh ground beef. The menu also includes grill specialties like seared BLT, chicken roti, nachos, wraps and daily seafood specials. Food prices range from $6.50 to $14.75, but if you go during happy hour (4-7pm), select menu items are only $3-$5. Big Bambooz is located right on Red Hook's main drag, across the street from Duffy's, overlooking the yacht harbor.
