Romano's Restaurant

Description:

  • Located in a slightly unsavory neighborhood near Coral World, this off-the-beaten-path hideaway is owned by New Jersey chef Tony Romano, who specializes in a flavor-filled and herb-laden cuisine that some diners yearn for after overdosing on Caribbean cooking. House favorites include linguine with pesto, four-cheese lasagna, a tender and well-flavored osso buco, scaloppini Marsala, and broiled salmon. All desserts are gratefully made on the premises. The restaurant, marked by exposed brick and well-stocked wine racks, always seems full of happy, lively diners.
