- It's a bit far removed from the main tourist areas, but the trade-off is that Hull Bay beach is relaxed, uncrowded and quiet. On the north side of St. Thomas, about two miles west of Magens Bay, Hull Bay beach is only accessible by private car or taxi via route 37. The beach is popular with surfers, and you'll occasionally see local fisherman anchored offshore. Bring your own surfboard or snorkel, because there's not really a watersports concession nearby, though there is a bar/restaurant onsite (and a superb sushi shack as well).
