Day 1 - St. Thomas

In the morning, tour the historical landmarks of Charlotte Amalie such as Fort Christian and Blackbeard's Castle (shouldn't take more than a couple of hours), while checking out the shops in the downtown area.

When you're had your fill of diamonds and pirates, stop for a Caribbean-flavored lunch at Gladys's before heading north to catch the view at Drake's Seat.

Down the hill from Drake's Seat is the world-famous Magen's Bay Beach, which is worth lounging on for at least a couple of hours. When you leave Magen's, stop at the Udder Delite Dairy Bar for a spiked milkshake.

Head next to Coral World, and explore the underwater wonders. Kids especially will love the gorgeous tropical fish and sea lions in this ocean-oriented water park, one of the island's most popular attractions.

At the end of the afternoon, stop by Duffy's Love Shack in Red Hook for a happy hour cocktail, before heading back to your ship.

There! Now you've had a true taste of the island.
